Each of God's children has been uniquely gifted with a set of skills, talents, knowledge and experiences.  And, Matthew's Hope Ministries is fueled entirely upon people choosing to share their gifts in a meaningful way that makes a, and sometimes THE, difference in the lives of others right here in west Orange County.

Every year since the ministry's inception in 2010, up to 50,000 volunteer hours are logged taking on projects and Tuesday Ministries roles that all share one common goal:  serving the needs of the "structurally challenged" of this community.

How Can You Make a Difference as a Volunteer?

Community members get involved in many unique ways, falling into five main categories:

1) Tuesday & Thursday Ministries Services Day - Volunteers arrive at the Outreach Center each week by 7:45 a.m., engage in a brief Volunteer Prep Meeting, and then step into a dozen different roles that serve the most basic needs of those who arrive.  Volunteering ends when the last guest is served.

2) Skilled Volunteers - Several community members with specific skills and experience volunteer in a variety of roles, from administrative support, computer skills, grant writing assistance, financial counseling, life skill and Bible study class facilitation, and more!

3) Group Service Projects - Student groups, church groups, meet-up groups, corporate groups, or any gathering of people can partner with ministry leaders to plan a service project.  Projects may vary depending upon the ministry needs, and are fully determined based upon the age group, size, time frame and season of service.

4) Design a Project - Many students and groups have created their own ways of having a meaningful impact on the ministry and its work.  The sky is the limit with creative ideas!  Many have conducted item collection drives, designed cards and crafts to share with guests, prepared meal items or snacks to share on Tuesdays, Thursdays and more!

5) Prepare and Serve Meals - A rotating group of teams assume one meal (breakfast, lunch or to-go dinner) for each Tuesday & Thursday Ministries Services Day of the month.  They prepare or purchase the food, and then have the option to deliver or stay and serve the meal to the 100 or more guests each week.

There are also opportunities to prepare a meal for our Tuesday and Thursday Life Skill Classes and Bible Studies.

Please contact us at Meals@MatthewsHopeMinistries.org or (407) 905-9500 for more information.  There is always room for meal donors to make a difference in the tummies of ministry guests!

Matthew's Hope Ministries works to achieve its mission only through the heads, hearts and hands of the hundreds of people who care enough to serve their neighbors!  Walk alongside the ministry . . . volunteer today!
